In May 2020, WWW successfully organized its first-ever fundraising event using the WeChat live streaming platform in Canada. During this three-hour live streaming event, WWW raised more than $10,000. All proceeds were donated to Yee Hong Senior Care. Toronto Omni Channel interviewed WeWorkingWomen Co-Founder Sherry Zhang.

In December 2019, WeWorkingWomen Co-founders Hua Yu and Sherry Zhang received the “Crossover” Award presented by Canada China Finance Association (CCFA).

In January 2020, WeWorkingWomen’s story was featured in the ROB section of The Globe and Mail. Since Oct 2017, WWW has completed 20 cohorts of various entrepreneurial academies and coached over 250 Chinese women entrepreneurs. Many participants have since embarked on successful journeys to grow their business ventures in Canada.

In May 2020, WeWorkingWomen was nominated for the RBC Canadian Women Entrepreneur Awards, “Social” category.

In December 2020, WeWorkingWomen was selected as a finalist in the Women Led Business Category for the Markham Board of Trade Business Excellence Award. This award celebrates business excellence within the Toronto Markham Business Community.

In April 2021, WeWorkingWomen was nominated for the RBC Canadian Women Entrepreneur Awards, “Social” category.

In March 2022, WeWorkingWomen was featured by Canada’s national newspaper The Globe and Mail as “A place to connect for Chinese women around the world”.

In August 2022, WeWorkingWomen launched its inaugural SHE-Festival in Toronto, a two day festival celebrating female entrepreneurship. OMNI News Mandarin interviewed WeWorkingWomen Co-Founder Sherry Zhang to learn what the festival was all about.
